Since it's my first try, I decided to go for handicap, that is getting a box of those ready mix flour, Betty Crockers Chocolate Chip Cookies Mix. All you need on top of the mix is an egg and some butter.
Put everything in a bowl and mix them with your hand until they become one dough. If you have long finger nails, they will get into your nails so WASH your hands before you start mixing. Opps, you already elbow deep in flour mixture? Oh well, big germ eat small bacteria, small bacteria becomes nutrient.
When mixtures become one dough, pre-heat oven according to instruction. Pinch the dough and lay it on baking tray with baking paper (so that it doesn't stick), flatten it slightly. Leave some space for cookie expansion. Instruction said you can make 12 big ones or 24 small ones, I don't know how I ended up with 32 mid size ones. The first time Cousin Bro tried, we ended up with 8 huge ones. Can't seem to get the correct size, but our experiment tells us, they taste the same regardless of size, so don't sweat it.
Once done, load 'em into the oven and bake according to instruction. Should be around 13-15 minutes. I baked for 15 minutes and some of my cookies were overcooked. My aunt said rule of nose is, they are ready when you can smell them in the oven. Time is just guesstimate.
See how big they grow? After you pull them out of the oven you need to let them rest and harden. It will just take about 15 minutes but might take longer in tropical places. Meanwhile you can torture your stomach with rich aroma of freshly baked cookies. Tea anyone?
